X.Y.Zèbres is a small size company managed by belgian producer and artist Marc Wathieu (a.k.a. Marc Morgan), that specializes in music production and art projects development.

People closely involved in X.Y.Zèbres productions are Maxime Wathieu (sound engineer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and founder-member of The Mash), Juliette Wathieu (vocalist and Freaksville Record artist) and Charlotte Beaudry (artist).

Artists and musicians working closely with X.Y.Zèbres are Pascal Schyns (graphic designer, photographer, production designer but also bassist), Benjamin Schoos (producer, composer, musician, label manager), Calo Marotta (producer, label manager, bassist, guitarist), Jérôme Mardaga (guitarist, producer), Jérôme Danthinne (drums, webdesigner, producer), Jérôme Goedons (stage manager) and Céline Gillain (artist, production designer and coordinator).

Owned by X.Y.Zèbres, "Ailleurs Records" is an independent record label that specializes in music production and project development. Furthermore, X.Y.Zèbres is intimately involved with Freaksville Record, underground french pop label from Belgium.

Since music industry carefully forgot to prepare any future for its own object of commerce, thus demonstrating how capitalists are raptors while being visionless, thank you all to help us to keep on making what we can do the best : songwriting, producing art, performing music, and sharing good times !

X.Y.Zèbres took his name after a song created by "Les Tricheurs" in 1989 on their only LP "Tendez Vos Lèvres". The lyrics talk about some beautiful loosers personified by the alphabet last letters X, Y and Z, which fortunatelly gives also the higher score in the french Scrabble word game.

A modest but quite confortable place, X.Y.Zèbres studio is both our rehearsal room and recording studio, as we play and record here in live conditions.

X.Y.Zèbres was at first a small corporation initially created in augustus 1990 to conduct musical business of musicians from the band "Les Tricheurs".

As a SCRL ("Société Coopérative à Responsabilité Limitée", or limited liability cooperative), X.Y.Zèbres had to increase his capital in 1993, due to a new belgian corporation law about cooperatives. Then X.Y.Zèbres modified his statutes to enclose art or communication production of founder member Marc Wathieu.

X.Y.Zèbres is a SCRL ("Société Coopérative à Responsabilité Limitée", or limited liability cooperative) initially created in augustus 1990.

As such, X.Y.Zèbres had to increase his capital in 1993, due to a new belgian corporation law about cooperatives.
