Motivated from an early age by the desire to paint, Charlotte Beaudry has managed to keep intact her precocious objective, taking an unusual route away from the art scene. Trained in the field of trompe l’oeil and fresco, Charlotte comes late to the world of art, without any particular strategy, driven by a compulsive and inescapable need to paint. Her frequent and notable exhibitions have revealed a body of work of remarkable breadth.
Her pictorial collection is constructed around a sensory expression of femininity, squeezed between the turmoil of adolescence and the doubts of adulthood. Whether everyday objects, places or more directly young women portraits, her paintings seem to go through the nuances, sometimes ambiguous, of a feminine identity looking for its integrity.
Born in Huy (1968), Charlotte Beaudry lives and work in Brussels.

Charlotte Beaudry (née en 1968, Huy, Belgique) est une peintre belge contemporaine s'exprimant par la peinture et le dessin. Son répertoire pictural s’articule autour d’une expression sensorielle de la féminité, coincée entre les tumultes de l’adolescence et les doutes de l’âge adulte. Qu’il y soit question d’objets quotidiens, de lieux ou plus directement de portraits de jeune femmes, sa peinture semble décliner les nuances parfois ambigües d’une identité féminine à la recherche de son intégrité. Charlotte Beaudry est représentée par Aliceday (Bruxelles) et Von Bartha Garage (Bâle).
